BSA Time Management Training
November 29, 2017 | 6:00 pm
Time Management Training is a 3.5 hour course focusing on increasing awareness of time management strategies, implementing self-selected strategies, predicting external time wasters, examining how time is spent, modeling how to set priorities, organizing tasks by category, assessing the importance of using a planning tool, performing work in a timely manner, and scheduling time appropriately. Completing this training module fulfills the Venturing Discovery Award requirement for the goal setting-time management training course. The training is being held for any interested Venturer at the MGL offices (8708 Technology Forest Pl #100, The Woodlands, TX 77381). The youth should eat before the class begins or bring a sack dinner. To RSVP, e-mail Bill Berry, SHAC Venturing Advancement Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org. RSVP early for this great training, because the class sized is capped at 15.

Venturing Forums are held three times a year, and are a great resource and fun opportunity for your entire Venturing crew. Each forum includes a chance to get to know fellow Venturers from across the council and features a program packed with ideas and opportunities for your crew to take advantage of and implement into its annual program plan. The council’s youth Venturing officers take the lead in driving this program and making it a great experience for both the youth and adults in the Venturing program. Bring the whole crew or ship – and prospective Venturers! Venturing Forums are held at the Cockrell Scout Center at 7:00 pm.
Venturing Association Officers
The council’s youth Venturing officers take the lead in driving the council Venturing program and make it a great experience for both the youth and adults. The officers are elected each year at the Venturing Banquet. The officers plan the council events (e.g., Venturing Challenge) and plan and run the Venturing Forums.

Venturing Committee Update for Crew Advisors: May 2018
BeAScout.org is a tool prospective families use to find units to join. BeAScout.org has a Google pin for every unit. Is your unit information up to date, or do you have the unit leader from three years ago as your contact? Unit leaders can update your unit information to make it EASY for new Scouting families to find your unit by logging into myscouting.org and looking under Unit Tools, selecting BeAScout, and then clicking on Unit Pin Management.
